At what age can a child start counselling at BloomEra? ▼
We work with children from age 4 onwards. Our approach adapts to each child's developmental stage, so whether your child is in early childhood or their teenage years, we can provide meaningful support. For children under 4, we typically work with parents directly.
How do I know if my child actually needs counselling? ▼
If something feels off, a shift in behaviour, mood, friendships, or school life, that's reason enough to reach out. You don't need to wait until things are at crisis point. In fact, the earlier families seek support, the faster and more lasting the results tend to be. An initial consultation will help clarify if counselling is the right next step.
Will I know what my child says in sessions? ▼
Confidentiality is central to effective therapy, especially for older children and teens. Parents receive regular progress updates, and we'll always inform you if we have serious safety concerns. The details of what your child shares, however, remain confidential.
What happens in the first session? ▼
The first session is intentionally light and unhurried. We get to know your child, their interests, their world, while beginning to understand what's brought them to us. For younger children, parents may be present for part or all of the first session. There's no pressure to open up immediately.
How many sessions will my child need? ▼
This varies depending on the child and what they're working through. Some children make significant progress in 8–12 sessions. Others benefit from longer-term support. We review progress regularly and always discuss the path forward with you openly.
Do you offer online child counselling? ▼
Yes. We offer in-person sessions at our Sector 45, Noida centre and online sessions for families across India. Online sessions are conducted via secure video and can be surprisingly effective, particularly for older children and teens.
Do parents get support during the process? ▼
Absolutely. Beyond regular updates, we can offer dedicated parent guidance sessions where we help you understand what your child is experiencing and how to respond at home. Parenting a child who is struggling is hard. You deserve support too.
